Twitter launched a subscription service (Twitter Blue) that gives users a blue checkmark, edit tweets, and write longer posts. Facebook is launching Meta Verified subscriptions with verification badges and additional support.

Morning Consult surveyed social media users to get a better idea of whether US adults would EVER pay to use a social media platform.

The story’s different for content creators. Nearly half of those surveyed said they would be willing to pay for social media.
