That means roughly 10% of Facebook accounts either aren’t real people or they belong to people that have multiple accounts.  Why might you want more than one social media account?  You might want to ask Golden State Warriors All-Star B-Ball player Kevin Durant.

Facebook made the announcement during a recent earnings call, saying it had discovered the mass amount of fake account due to a new methodology it had implement.  Previously, Facebook has said 6% of accounts were duplicates and 1% were fake.

It probably confirms what you’ve thought all along… unless you thought all those pictures of beautiful women that you don’t know suddenly really did want to friend you, but somehow just joined Facebook and have only posted once.
