Facebook’s taken hit after hit to its reputation.  Accusations of political bias, alleged misuse of personal data, data leaks, third parties accessing your data through your friends without permission… the list of complaints goes on and on.

The list of lawsuits by shareholders and users against the social media company over data privacy keeps growing, including 16 high profile class actions lawsuits, as reported by The Street.

Quite simply, Facebook has an image problem.

So, where does it turn to try to fix it?  Television.

Since it launched its advertising campaign to rebuild trust, MediaPost reports Facebook in mid-March, the social media giant is averaging $1 million a day in TV ads, according to analysis by Kantar Media.  That’s a ton of money, but don’t feel too bad for Facebook.  That’s just 1/130th of what they make on advertising daily.
