Sick of AI posts on social media?
Meta execs: hold my beer.
Facebook and Instagram are rolling out products to create AI characters who live on the platform and interact. “We expect these AIs to actually exist on our platforms in the same way that (human) accounts do,” said Connor Hayes in the Financial Times.
“They’ll have bios and profile pictures and be able to generate and share content powered by AI on the platform,” he said. “That’s where we see all of this going.”
Hayes says hundreds of thousands have already been created using the company’s AI character tool and he sees more expansion in the future.
Good luck with that.
